The body, subtly distorted in form and shaped with a pooling hollow at the front, is divided between two glazes: irabo glaze and ido glaze. In places, the irabo glaze develops a strong green tone, while the transparent ido glaze allows the character of the clay to emerge. Where the two overlap, the surface shifts into a faint bluish white, creating a layered landscape of three
