Opel Blitz "Maultier" Waffen Weltkrieg darThe Opel Blitz "Maultier" was a half tracked version of the Opel Blitz 3. 5 t, used by the German Wehrmacht from 1942 onwards. To improve mobility on the often muddy and impassable terrain of the Eastern Front, the rear axle of the standard Blitz was replaced with a tracked chassis modeled on the British Bren Carrier.
